        As is indicated in the cartoon above, a man daydreaming of money is brushing one of fake vases with the liquid glaze symbolizing a “cottage product”. In fact, nowadays, fake products are so widespread in our markets that the forgers seem to have created a kind of so-called Shanzhai culture or Simulated culture. Though “cottage products” are not definitely equal to “inferior products”, we should not oppose wiping them out completely even if they might mean a good thing for us consumers because of their cheaper prices.
        Generally speaking, those fake commodities are harmful and dangerous to consumers and the society. First, the good name of the well-known product may be ruined overnight by an easily made fake one. Second, fake products may cause heavy losses to consumers because what a forger cares about is the economic benefit but not his products’ quality. For example, many victims of fake medicine, unsafe medical equipment and water heaters have been killed or seriously injured. Finally, fake products, usually associated with organized crime and backed up by powerful multi-layered, corrupt bureaucrats, may create chaos and ruin our society.
        Therefore, in my opinion, while there are people who are reaping huge profit from fake products, we should carry on a war against them. There are many times when we are powerless to identify a fake product from a genuine one, but there must not be a time when we fail to protest. Who knows whether you will not be the victim of the fake products a second time?
        在上面的漫画中，一个脑子里装满钱的人正在给一个假冒花瓶刷着象征“山寨产品”的液体釉。事实上，如今在我们的市场上，假冒产品如此普遍，伪造者们似乎已经创造了一种所谓的山寨文化。虽然“山寨产品”并不完全等同于“劣质产品”，但我们不应该反对将它们彻底清除掉，即使它们可能因其价格更为便宜而对我们消费者来说是一件好事。
        总的来说，这些假冒商品对消费者和整个社会是有害的也是危险的。首先，知名产品的好名声有可能在一夜之间被一个很容易制造的假产品毁坏掉。其次，假冒伪劣产品可能导致消费者的重大损失，因为伪造者关心的是经济利益而不是自己产品的质量。例如，许多假药、不安全的医疗设备和热水器已经造成受害者死亡或严重受伤。最后，假冒伪劣产品通常与有组织的犯罪和盘根错节的腐败官僚群体有着千丝万缕的联系，它们会给我们的社会造成混乱和破坏。
        因此，在我看来，对那些从假冒产品中收获巨额利润的人，我们应该奋起反击。尽管有许多时候我们无力识别产品的真假优劣，但我们绝对不能放弃抗议。谁能肯定自己不会是假冒伪劣产品的下一个受害者呢?
