活动内容:
a.填补一下相应单词的中文释义(有一词多义的其他词义也请给出),市场统一零售价5考元一个释义

These words all mean to do the first part of sth, or to do sth or make sth happen or exist for the first time.

begin [ I ,  T ]  
to do the first part of sth; to do sth that you were not doing just before

NOTE   begin  or  start?   
There is not much difference in meaning between these words.  Start  is more frequent in spoken English and in business contexts;  begin  is more frequent in written English.  
Start , but  not   begin , can also mean ‘to make sth start happening’ or ‘to make a machine start working’ :  Who began the fire?  (wrong)◇  I can't begin the car.(wrong)

open [ T ]  
to make an activity or event begin; to make a story, piece of writing or period of time begin in a particular way
The police have opened an investigation into the death.

embark on sth ,  embark upon sth  phrasal verb  ( rather formal )  
to begin doing sth new or difficult
Remember these basic rules before embarking upon major home improvements.

take sth  up phrasal verb [ no passive ]  
to begin sth such as a job or hobby
He takes up his duties next week.
  OPP   give sth up

set about sth  phrasal verb [ no passive ]  
to begin doing sth
She set about the business of cleaning the house.

go about sth  phrasal verb [ no passive ]  (  often used in negative statements and questions with  how )   
to begin working on sth, especially in a particular way
How should I go about finding a job?

We are obliged to commence bankruptcy proceedings against you.

go about sth
1.着手做什么,从事 You are not going about it correctly.(这事情你做的不对)  We must go about our business.(我们必须忙我们自己的事情了)
2.(消息等)传播 (疾病)流行 The rumor is going about that John and Mary are getting married.(正在谣传John和Mary将要结婚)
3.四处走动  The tourists went about London freely.
4.和…相好,在一起(常与with 连用) He always goes about with his children.他总跟他的孩子在一起。

commence
vt.She commenced studying chemistry.她开始学习化学。
vi.The performence will commence in a minute.演出马上开始。
翻译:We are obliged to commence bankruptcy proceedings against you.
         我们不得不对你实行破产程序。
