考研英语长难句练习：

        【典型难句】Planning ahead should eliminate wastage, but if you have surplus vegetables you’ll do a vegetable soup, and all fruits threatening to “go off ” will be cooked or juiced.

        【结构图解】

       【要点注释】这个句子的难点在于并列句里面套并列句，if条件句作you’ll do a vegetable soup的状语，and之后的小分句也可以变成if the fruits are threatening to “go off”, you’ll have them cooked or juiced.

        【难句精译】提前规划可避免浪费，但如果你有多余的蔬菜，做个蔬菜汤也行。还有，那些快要变质的水果也可以烹食或者榨汁喝。

        【经典范文】

       In the chart, we can see clearly that both the saleable area and sales figures of commercial housing have been increasing in recent two years. Especially in January and February of 2013, the saleable area of residential property rises sharply from 1.8% to 49.5%, while the sales volume moves up rapidly from 10% to 77.6%.

        The increase of saleable area and sales quantity of commercial housing is due largely to the growth of urban population. With the acceleration of urbanization, more rural people move to cities for work or living, which will stimulate the growth of real estate. Besides, an increasing number of people nowadays being fairly affluent, they intend to reside in newer and more spacious homes. In addition, there are still some people who purchase commercial housing for investment. It seems ridiculous that some rich people even buy houses in cities for their newborn grandsons. As a result, the average price of commodity housing in cities keeps on rising.

If this upward trend can not be controlled, social contradictions will keep growing. Hence the commercial housing market should be strictly supervised and some effective measures must be taken to curb runaway property prices, including restrictions on second homes, increasing minimum down payment requirements and limiting funding to the developers. As citizens, we should hold a rational and cautious attitude towards house purchase.

        从图中我们可以清楚地看到：无论是商品房的销售面积，还是其销售数量，近两年来都呈上升趋势。特别是2013年的前两个月，商品房销售面积从1.8%迅速增长至49.5%，而销售数量则从10%增至77.6%。

        城市人口数量的增加是商品房的销售面积和数量增加的一个主要原因。随着城市化的加快，越来越多的农村人口迁徙到城市工作或生活，这就刺激了房地产的发展。此外，现在越来越多的人们生活比较富裕，他们想住进更新、更宽敞的房子。再者，还有一些人买房是为了投资赚钱。很可笑的是，一些有钱人竟然给刚出生的孙子买房。其结果是，城市房子的均价不断上涨。

　　如果这种趋势得不到控制，社会矛盾将会不断激化。所以应该严格监管商品房市场，并采取有效举措以控制失控的房价，这些举措包括二套房限购、提高房贷首付以及限制开发商资金来源等。作为公民，我们在购房时应采取理智、谨慎的态度。

        1.In the chart, we can see clearly that…has/have been increasing in recent two years. 表示“在图中我们可以清楚地看到：……近两年来呈上升趋势。”此句通常是图表类作文中用来引出主题的经典句式，表示主题的一个增长趋势。

        2.The increase of +主题+ is due largely to…表示“……的增长主要因为……”。due to表示“由于”，其后一般引出表示原因的句子，可为后文论据的展开做好铺垫。

        3.With the acceleration of urbanization表示“随着城市化的加快”，此结构还可替换为With the acceleration of industrial growth/economical globalization/modernization(随着工业增长/经济全球化/现代化的加快)，此句具有很强的灵活性。
