        【典型难句】After all, four decades of evidence has now shown that corporations in Europe as well as the US are evading the meritocratic hiring and promotion of women to top position—no matter how much “soft pressure” is put upon them.

        【结构图解】

        【要点注释】本句中破折号引出的条件状语从句出现在句尾，并不是修饰前面的position，而是修饰前面的宾语从句。放在句尾是强调 “软压力”的失败。

        【难句精译】毕竟，四十年的证据已经表明，欧洲的企业和美国的企业一样，都在逃避聘用英才和晋升女性至最高层——无论给他们施加多大“软压力”。

       【经典范文】

        From the above line chart, we can patently see that both the marriage rate and the divorce rate have been rising to some extent since 2007. Meanwhile, from 2009 to 2010, the marriage rate is slightly trending down, while the divorce rate is rising sharply.

        The seemingly ridiculous case has triggered our greater concern about today’s youths. What’s wrong with them? One view is that young people do things indiscreetly, taking irresponsible attitudes towards marriage. In the meantime, the growth tendency of divorce reveals that the new generation’s attitude towards marriage is to some degree selfish, especially for those who have children. The alternative view is that the rise in divorce rate is regarded as a symbol of social progress. Traditionally people are supposed to be faithful to their spouses, no matter whether their marriage is harmonious or not, holding that it is immoral to divorce. However, today’s youths concern more about their personal feelings rather than public opinions. Once they find their other halves inadequate, they have the courage to break a marriage.  

        It is not the key point that whether high divorce rate is a symbol of social progress. Importantly, we should take a serious attitude towards marriage. It has to be nourished and cherished simultaneously by mutual love, tolerance and understanding.

        上图的曲线表清晰地表明，从2007年起，结婚率和离婚率在一定程度上都呈上升趋势。然而，从2009年到2010年，当结婚率呈缓慢下降趋势时，离婚率却急剧上升。

        看似荒谬的情形却引发了我们对当代年轻人更多的担忧。年轻人都怎么了？一种观点认为年轻人做事太轻率，他们对婚姻持不负责任的态度。与此同时，离婚率的增长趋势从某种程度上揭示了新一代的人对于婚姻的态度是自私的，对那些已经有孩子的人而言，更是如此。另一种观点是还有一部分人将离婚率的上升看成是社会进步的表现。传统的婚姻应该是从一而终的，不管他们婚后的生活是否和谐。他们把离婚当作一件不道德的事。然而，当今的年轻人考虑更多的是自己的个人感受而不是社会舆论。一旦发现自己的另一半不适合，他们就有勇气选择离婚。

        高离婚率是否是社会进步的表现，这一点并不重要。重要的是我们应该以严肃的态度来对待婚姻。夫妻双方应该相互关爱、包容和理解对方，共同滋养、珍惜婚姻。

        【高分解析】

        1.From the above line chart, we can patently see that…常用在图表类作文的开头，用来描述图表反映的内容。后面的to some extent意为“一定程度上”。

        2.One view is that…, 意为“一种观点认为……”，that后面引导的是is的表语从句；它与下文The alternative view is that…构成并列结构，用以阐述两种不同的观点。其次，本句中take irresponsible attitudes toward…的意思是“对……持不负责任的态度”，反义表达为take serious attitudes toward，表示“对……持严肃的态度”，考生可积累使用。

        3.concern more about…rather than…表示“考虑更多的是……而不是……”，属于亮点句型，考生可灵活使用。

        4.It is not the key point that…意为“……并不重要”，后面常用importantly引出需要强调的内容，考生应掌握此类表达方法。
