考研英语长难句练习：
【典型难句】But it is worth examining the root problem of compensation schemes that are tied to short-term profits and revenues, and thus encourage bankers to take irresponsible levels of risks. 【结构图解】 ![]()
【要点注释】be worth doing sth.意为“值得做某事”；名词短语the root problem of compensation schemes本身可以理解为“薪酬安排的根本问题”或者“薪酬安排这个根本问题”，但根据句子后面的解释，可见薪酬安排是导致银行家们甘愿冒险的根本原因，因此of结构应该是the root problem的同位语。that引导的定语从句比较长，因此可以将其翻译为一个独立分句。 【难句精译】但薪酬安排这个根本问题也值得审视，因为现有的安排与短期利润和收益紧密联系，往往会使银行家们不负责任地冒险。 （本句来源于考研英语（二）2009年真题，Section Ⅱ Reading Comprehension PartA text2第四段；考研英语二真题超细解【考研1号】《考研圣经》Page 591.）
