the augustian age, metaphysical poetry, thebeat generation, the age of reason in English, American naturalism, ALL NATUREIS BUT ART UNKNOWN TO THEE 蒲柏的一首诗。
翻译部分:
英译汉:亨利六世。比之前的难,量也有点大。
汉译英:枯叶蝴蝶。北外考过,散文108篇好像也有。
翻译理论:两个都用中文写——zohar的多元系统;中国传统翻译理论发展
文学术语本分还可以,分析部分比以往要难一些。最难得我感觉是语言学的大题。第二道大题我就写了主要四点,基本还行吧。

Questions l to 6 arebased on the following poem by Edmund Spencer.
Sonnet 75 from Amoretti
One day I wrote her name upon the stand,
But came the waves and washed it away:
Again I wrote it with a second hand,
But came the tide, and made my pains his pray.
“Vain man,” said she, “that does in vain assay,
A mortal thing so to immortalize,
For I myself shall like to this decay,
And also my name be wiped out likewise.”

Questions 7 to10 arebased on the several stanzas from Edgar Allen Poe’s poem The Raven.
The Raven
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak andweary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came atapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door一
“Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamberdoor—
Only this and nothing more.”
Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon thefloor.
Eagerly l wished the morrow; —vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow—sorrow for the lostLenore—

VII. Translate the following into Chinese. (本题共15分)
From science, modestly pursued, with a due consciousness ofthe extreme finitude of our intellectual powers, there can arise only noblerand wider notions of the purpose of Creation. Our philosophy will be anaffirmative one, not the false and negative dogmas of August Comte, which haveusurped the name, and misrepresented the tendencies of a true positivephilosophy. True science will not deny the existence of things because theycannot be weighed and measured. It will rather lead US to believe that thewonders and subtleties of possible existence surpass all that our mental powersallow us clearly to perceive. The study of logical and mathematical forms hasconvinced me that even space itself is not requisite condition of conceivableexistence。Everything, we are told by materialists, must behere or there, nearer or further, before or after. I deny this—andpoint to logical relations as my proof.
