考研英语长难句练习：
【典型难句】Mortgage lenders gladly lent enormous sums to those who could not afford to pay them back, dividing the loans and selling them off to the next financial institution along the chain, which took advantage of the same high-tech securitization to load on more risky mortgage-based assets.
【结构图解】

【要点注释】本句比较长，修饰限定的部分较多。who引导的后置定语从句可以翻译为前置定语，译为“没有偿还能力的人”或者“无力偿还的人”。dividing 和selling…off是并列分词短语作主句的伴随状语。the next institution由非限制性定语从句修饰，可以单独处理，译为一个独立分句。securitization在句中是名词形式，翻译时可以保留其词性，处理为“证券化方式/手段”，也可以使用转译法，处理为“将其变为证券”。
【难句精译】抵押贷款人很高兴将巨额资金借给那些没有偿还能力的人，然后将贷款分割，并顺着这一链条低价出售给下一家金融机构，而此金融机构则利用同样的高科技手段使之证券化，从而吸纳更高风险的抵押资产。
