像诸如这样一类没有被察觉的不足是因为对处在字母排列顺序后半部分的姓的歧视。
在很早就知道，在顾客通过电话簿查找的时候，叫AAAA的出租车比叫Zodiac的出租车更占优势。
因此，美国总统和副总统的姓分别以B和C开头，而且在乔治布什之前26位总统（包括他的父亲）的姓在字母排开顺序前半部分，而只有16位总统的姓处于后半部分
