did his share of noise-making其实也是和前面的was himself起相同的作用,也是个强调。

It is all deliciously ironic when you consider that shakespeare, who earns their living ,was himself an actor (with a beard)and did his share of noise-making.
It is all deliciously ironic when you consider that shakespeare, who earns their living ,was himself an actor (with a beard)and did his share of noise-making.

然后,我们看划线部分:when you consider that shakespeare, who earns their living ,was himself an actor (with a beard)and did his share of noise-making.
再次拆分:that shakespeare, who earns their living ,was himself an actor (with a beard)and did his share of noise-making.

可以把它理解为:that shakespeare, who earns their living ,was himself an actor (with a beard)and did his share of noise-making.
其中,红线部分who earns their living 以及and did his share of noise-making是修饰shakespeare的定语从句,was himself an actor (with a beard).
that shakespeare, who earns their living ,and did his share of noise-making,was himself an actor (with a beard).

do one\'s share of sth .

According to their latest paper published in Nature, the biomass of large predators (animals that kill and eat other animals) in a new fishery is reduced on average by 80% within 15 years of the start of exploitation. In some long-fished areas, it has halved again since then.
32.        We can infer from Dr. Myers and Dr. Worm’s paper that ________.
[A] the stock of large predators in some old fisheries has reduced by 90%
[bthere are only half as many fisheries as there were 15 years ago
[C] the catch sizes in new fisheries are only 20% of the original amount
[D] the number of larger predators dropped faster in new fisheries than in the old

31.        The extinction of large prehistoric animals is noted to suggest that ________.
[A] large animal were vulnerable to the changing environment
[B] small species survived as large animals disappeared
[C] large sea animals may face the same threat today
The large, slow-growing animals were easy game, and were quickly hunted to extinction.

33.        By saying these figures are conservative (Line 1, paragraph 3), Dr. Worm means that ________.
[A] fishing technology has improved rapidly这道题定位容易,且此段是总分形式,后面的内容是对these figures are conservative的解释,a选项是部分原因
[B] then catch-sizes are actually smaller then recorded考察对so the real difference between present and past is likely to be worse than the one recorded by changes in catch sizes的理解.
[C] the marine biomass has suffered a greater loss
[D] the data collected so far are out of date不是过时了,是还有另外因素没考虑,下文给出reason,One reason for this

34.        Dr. Myers and other researchers hold that ________.
[A] people should look for a baseline that can’t work for a longer time相反
[B] fisheries should keep the yield below 50% of the biomass不准确不是below而是about
[C] the ocean biomass should restored its original level错误 the biomass of a target species is about 50% of its original levels
[D] people should adjust the fishing baseline to changing situation考察对They believe the data support an idea current among marine biologists, that of the “shifting baseline.”的理解
35.        The author seems to be mainly concerned with most fisheries’ ________.定位Most fisheries are well below that, which is a bad way to do business.
[A] management efficiency
[B] biomass level
[C] catch-size limits
[D] technologincal applicatio

“a new fishery is reduced on average by 80% ”和“it has halved again since then”,这一段话里,是不是只有这两地方和计算有关呢?
A、这个好像原文中没有提到,我们先放在一边;

然后我们再来比较A、D,计算题,依然不会,看看D,D说的是“in new fisheries than in the old”。
